A Love Letter

Open your heart’s mind so you can see, hear, but most of all feel the words that are being spoken

C.G. Thomas

Have you ever been in a situation where you believed you said one thing but they heard another?  I’ve been there and was left pondering the reason my person and I were still at odds (I thought I was crystal clear). I later figured out that he didn’t hear anything I said because the noise of everything else drowned my voice and negated my intentions.

The above scenario may not be the case for all, some simply struggle with “the right thing” to say. … maybe you just don’t know how to choose the right words to encourage and uplift or soothe his soul…

Fellas, maybe all you hear is noise or it could be that your frustration won’t allow you to understand… this is what we mean to say but at times can’t find the right words… Whew… here we go…

Babe, I know it’s heavy, the weight of the world.  Cares, dreams, disappointment, fear, and anger bundled up into a huge ball, nestled between your shoulders.  I see the tension and hard stress lines across your forehead.  Your thoughts are murky, muddled, and lost in a sea of doubt.  I see you walking with a fallen countenance… you feel alone, but you are not.

I’m certain the above description is not inclusive of the inner workings of your mind but I’m sure it is pretty accurate.

You climb mountains on a daily and you feel alone, but you are not.  That anger hovering over your head mixed with a sprinkle of unforgiveness, quietly whispers in your ear “you are on your own”, so you use those words as a shield, blocking every gesture that would lift a bit of your burden.  You are not alone.

I know someone told you that if you didn’t carry it all you would be less than a man.  Someone told you that you had to chase everything you desired and that your worth was bottled up in the “what” of you versus “who” you are.  I can imagine how difficult it is trusting anyone with your secrets for fear of them being hurled at you like a speeding bullet.  I’m certain it is a little scary but, you can’t say that for fear of ridicule, after all men should not be afraid of anything.

Someone lied to you.  You are more than what you can offer me.  I see your fortitude and guess what, it is sexy as hell.  The softness you hide seeps from your pores and lingers.  Its pheromones drifting and drawing me in, you are addictive.

You are not alone, I know the air of loneliness suspended above your head says something different but I need for you to trust me when I say I am here for all of it.  Deposit your concerns with me and rest in the love I have for you because it will cover every bruise, broken promise, and scar the world has given you.  Bask in my energy and rock to my positive vibration, let me be your place of refuge.

I know it’s heavy, the weight of the world, but you are not alone.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your view inside the mind of Sugar Clark.

Be Blessed!
